Case Studies

Case Study 1 - installation in a leading Independent School

The brief was to install a kitchen within a new build using 75% of the existing equipment. However the existing equipment could not be removed until the school finished for Christmas holidays with the kitchen having to be completed by the 31st December. This gave us just a 14 day window to complete the work.

The contract had to be planned carefully as some of the equipment had to be stripped down to allow access from the kitchen. The equipment then had to be transported to the new kitchen with no damage. We had to liaise closely with the client and the main contractor to ensure that the area was clear, accessible and all services were present and correct. However, due to our meticulous planning, the transfer went smoothly and the equipment was installed, commissioned and demonstrated prior to the deadline. We also attended site on the first day of 'live' cooking to reassure the client and iron out any problems - unsurprisingly there were none.

The case study highlights our approach to all the jobs we undertake. They are well planned and carried efficiently and on time.

Case Study 2 - football club in the West Midlands

We had a call from the client at 6.30pm reporting that the 20 grid gas combination oven had failed and they had a function for 300 that evening.

We attended site by 7pm and found a control fuse had failed due to a poor connection on the control pcb. We remade the connection on the pcb and changed the fuse and re-tested the oven. The job was completed ay 7.30pm allowing the oven to be used for that evening's function.

Whilst this was not a complicated job or involved contract, it demonstrates the importance with regard to flexibility and speed of diagnosis. In less than 2 hours we had arrived on site, found the fault and rectified it which resulted in no disruption to the evening'ss proceedings at all.
